Model the numbers

The final piece in the puzzle for most farmers is to understand the financial impacts of a project on their farming business. This requires understanding the potential economic drivers of a project - the up-front costs, the prospective financial returns from carbon or biodiversity markets, and the impact on grazing income.

The project will be bringing together experts from environmental markets and farming systems groups to help answer the question - how do farmers model the impact of an open woodland project on their business?

The Open Woodland Restoration project aims to help farmers restore box-gum grassy woodlands to deliver productivity, biodiversity & carbon gains. Regen Farmers Mutual is the convenor of the project.
